Biryani Remarks Ignite Assam By‑Poll Campaign

The by‑election in Assam has entered a heated phase, with political parties stepping up canvassing efforts across the state. Campaign rallies and door‑to‑door outreach have become more frequent as parties vie for the vacant seat.

Amid the intensified contest, candidates have begun trading barbs that reference biryani, a popular regional dish. The remarks, reported by media outlets, highlight a shift from policy discussion to personal jibes aimed at opponents.

Analysts note that such culinary‑themed exchanges signal a competitive atmosphere where candidates seek any edge to attract voters. The biryani spat underscores the fervor surrounding the by‑poll, though substantive issues remain central to the electorate’s decision.
