At around 10 a.m. on Tuesday, police stopped the car of Ramesh Jadia’s son at Sarvodaya Chowk in Bina after reports of a collision with a motorcyclist. The incident was reported by a nearby shopkeeper who claimed the vehicle had struck a rider and caused injury.
Following the stop, the police filed a complaint against the driver for the alleged injury. The complaint was lodged at the local police station, and an investigation is underway to verify the claims.
Ramesh Jadia, a senior BJP leader in the region, expressed strong displeasure with the police action. He took a seat on the middle of the road, demanding that the vehicle be released. His protest quickly turned into a sit‑in that halted traffic for several hours.
Traffic authorities have since moved the protestors to a designated area, and the jam has eased. The police are continuing their inquiry, while local officials urge commuters to use alternate routes.
