Bilimora Nears Completion of Gujarat’s First Bullet Train Power Substation

The substation, located in Bilimora, is a key component of the Gujarat high‑speed rail corridor that will link Ahmedabad with Mumbai. Construction has reached the final stages, with major transformers and switchgear already installed and initial testing underway. Once commissioned, the facility will provide up to 400 MW of power, ensuring a reliable supply for the 400‑km bullet train line. The project team expects the substation to be fully operational by the end of the year, after which the electrification of the corridor will proceed.
