The Bihar Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2026 has been rescheduled from November 11 to November 22, 2026, as the original date coincides with the Bhai Dooj and Chitragupta Puja holiday.
The conducting body for the Bihar Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) has officially revised the schedule for the 2026 examination cycle. The exam, originally planned for November 11, 2026, will now be held on November 22, 2026. This change has been communicated to all registered candidates to ensure clarity regarding the upcoming assessment date.
The decision to postpone the test stems from the fact that November 11, 2026, has been declared a public holiday in the state. The holiday is observed in honor of the traditional festivals of Bhai Dooj and Chitragupta Puja. Conducting a major state-level examination on a declared holiday would have created logistical challenges and potential conflicts for candidates and invigilators alike.
Candidates appearing for the STET 2026 are advised to update their personal calendars with the new date. The admit cards for the examination are expected to be released in accordance with the revised timeline. Applicants should regularly monitor official notifications to stay informed about the download link for their hall tickets and any further instructions regarding the exam day.
This rescheduling ensures that the examination can be conducted smoothly without interference from public holidays, allowing for a fair and organized testing environment for all aspirants seeking teaching positions in Bihar's secondary schools.
