Bihar PSC postpones 72nd CCE Prelims exam, announces new date

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) announced that the prelims of its 72nd Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) will not be held on the previously scheduled date. The commission cited administrative reasons for the postponement and assured candidates that the new exam date will be communicated shortly. Candidates who had registered for the exam are advised to keep checking the official BPSC website for the updated schedule. The change aims to ensure a smooth conduct of the examination and to address any logistical challenges identified during the preparation phase. BPSC officials reiterated their commitment to a transparent and fair selection process for all aspirants.

The revised timetable will be posted on the commission’s portal and disseminated through official channels. Applicants are urged to remain prepared and to adhere to any further instructions regarding documentation and venue details. This postponement aligns with similar adjustments made by other state service commissions to accommodate unforeseen circumstances.

Stakeholders, including coaching institutes and aspirants, have welcomed the decision, noting that the extra time will allow for better preparation and reduce last‑minute complications. The BPSC has emphasized that the integrity of the examination process remains its top priority.
