Bihar Police Raid Uncovers Illegal Mini-Gun Factory in Buxar, Arrests Two

Police in Buxar’s Basudeva area dismantled an illegal mini-gun workshop, arresting two suspects and seizing homemade firearms, ammunition, cannabis and weapons‑making tools.
Police officers from the Basudeva police station in Buxar conducted a surprise raid on a hidden workshop suspected of producing miniature firearms. The operation, carried out early in the morning, led to the discovery of several homemade guns, ammunition cartridges, and a stockpile of cannabis.
Investigators also seized a range of weapons‑manufacturing equipment, including metal cutting tools and improvised firing mechanisms. The seized items suggest that the workshop was involved in illicit arms production for local distribution.
Two men, identified as the primary operators of the facility, were taken into custody during the raid. They are now being held on charges related to illegal weapons manufacturing and possession of controlled substances.
A spokesperson for the Buxar police department stated that the operation was part of an ongoing effort to curb illegal arms proliferation in the region and that further investigations will determine the extent of the network involved.
