Bihar legislator Sachidanand Rai has alleged discrepancies in the PM Awas Yojana beneficiary list and has asked the district magistrate to investigate the matter.
Bihar's legislative assembly member Sachidanand Rai raised concerns on Thursday about possible irregularities in the beneficiary list of the Prime Minister's Awas Yojana, a flagship housing scheme for low‑income families. In response, Rai formally wrote to the district magistrate, requesting a thorough audit of the list and verification of the selection criteria used. He urged the administration to ensure transparency and to take corrective action if any malpractice is uncovered.
