Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary directed the state to accelerate the construction of Panchayat government buildings, shift maintenance duties to designated officials, and upgrade water‑tower solar panels from 5kW to 20kW.

Patna, Bihar — In a recent directive, Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary emphasized the need to speed up the erection of Panchayat government buildings across the state. He instructed relevant departments to prioritize project timelines and ensure that construction quality meets prescribed standards.

The CM also proposed a shift in maintenance responsibility, assigning it to designated local officials, referred to as "senseds," to improve accountability and upkeep of the newly built structures.

Additionally, Chaudhary ordered an upgrade of the solarisation plan for water towers, increasing the installed capacity from the current 5 kilowatts to 20 kilowatts. The move aims to boost renewable energy usage in rural infrastructure and reduce dependence on conventional power sources.

Implementation guidelines were to be incorporated into the state's solarisation estimates, with monitoring mechanisms to track progress and cost efficiency.

The announcement reflects Bihar's broader push toward faster rural development and sustainable energy integration under the current administration.
