The Bihar government has sanctioned the design of modern five‑storey bus terminals in nine cities, including Muzaffarpur, Gaya, Purnia and Motihari, promising airport‑like amenities.
The state’s transport department has cleared the architectural plans for a new generation of bus terminals that will span five floors and incorporate advanced passenger amenities. Nine cities—Muzaffarpur, Gaya, Purnia, Motihari, and others—will receive the modern facilities. The terminals are expected to feature airport‑style check‑in counters, digital information displays, and dedicated parking areas. Following the approval, the government will issue a request for proposals and is poised to begin construction in the coming months.
