The Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) has cleared allocation of 9.14 acres and plug‑and‑play sheds for 12 units, with an investment of about ₹13.26 billion projected to generate roughly 2,500 jobs across Patna and eight other districts.
BIADA announced on Thursday that it has approved the allotment of 9.14 acres of land along with ready‑made plug‑and‑play sheds for twelve new industrial projects in the state. The decision follows detailed proposals submitted by the prospective investors and aligns with Bihar’s industrial expansion agenda.
The approved projects carry a combined investment of roughly ₹132.60 crore (about $13.3 billion). Authorities expect the ventures to create close to 2,500 direct employment opportunities, primarily in Patna and eight other districts where the units will be set up.
State officials said the new units are expected to commence operations within the next twelve months, boosting local manufacturing capacity and contributing to the government's goal of generating 5 million jobs by 2030.
The move is part of a broader strategy to attract private capital, improve infrastructure, and reduce unemployment in Bihar’s semi‑urban and rural areas.
