Bidar: Demand for Land Rights for Form 53 and 57 Applicants

Bidar: The Karnataka Dalit Sangharsha Samiti, founded by Prof. B. Krishnappa, has urged the immediate formation of a taluk-level committee to review applications submitted under Form 53 and 57. These applications pertain to poor farmers from the Scheduled Castes in Aurad taluk who have been cultivating land for many years and seek legal land rights.

The committee has petitioned Deputy Chief Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara highlighting delays in the verification and selection process of eligible beneficiaries, causing hardship for these farmers. They emphasized the need for transparent local inspections and document verifications to ensure rightful beneficiaries receive legal land titles. Additionally, the committee requested the transfer of long-serving staff at the Aurad taluk tahsildar office to enhance administrative transparency and better public service.

The petition was submitted by taluk convener Jaiprakash Ashtoure and district conveners Vijaykumar Aihole and Dhanraj Mustapur, urging the government to take prompt action on these matters.
