Bidar: EPS-95 NAC District Convention Demands Pension Increase
Bidar: EPS-95 NAC has organized a large district convention at the Sri Kshetra Papanasha Temple Kalyana Mantapa on October 3 to demand the fulfillment of various pension-related demands, including a minimum pension of ₹7,500, according to district president Shivakumar Shetkar.
Under the EPS-95 scheme, millions of pension subscribers nationwide regularly contribute to EPFO from their salaries. However, the average pension amount currently received by retired subscribers is low, causing financial difficulties. EPS-95 NAC has been fighting for several years to increase the minimum pension and address other demands such as full monthly pension to widows, adequate medical facilities, and implementation of court-ordered additional pension.
National director Ramakant Naragunda, state general secretary R. Subbanna, state executive president Veerakumar Gadada, and state treasurer S.N. Shankar will participate in the convention to provide detailed information about the pension struggle and future plans. Shivakumar Shetkar urged all EPS-95 NAC members in Bidar district to attend the convention in large numbers to ensure its success.
