Bidar Police Women’s Team Raises Traffic Awareness Among Youth
Bidar: The special women's police team, Akka Pade, led an awareness program on traffic rules for students, women, and children. Under the guidance of Pradeep Gunti, IPS, Senior Police Officer of Bidar district, the team emphasized the safety of women, children, and students. The program focused on educating youth at the Chitguppa bus stand about road safety, including the importance of helmets for two-wheeler riders and seat belts for car drivers.
The team also highlighted laws against child abuse, child marriage prohibition, and the POCSO Act for women's safety. Information was shared about helpline numbers 1098 for children, 112 for emergencies, and 1930 for cybercrime. The awareness drive addressed the adverse effects of mobile usage among children and encouraged a positive outlook on safety, assuring continuous support from the police department and the Akka Pade team. Pradeep Gunti commended the officers and staff for their dedicated service.
