Bhopal Residents Protest Against Master Plan 2047

A large number of Bhopal residents gathered at the Town and Country Planning (T&CP) office to register their objections to the proposed Master Plan 2047. The residents, united under the banner of the Joint Residents Struggle Committee, expressed their concerns over several aspects of the plan. They particularly objected to the proposed legalization of existing illegal constructions and the plan to allow construction within catchment areas, citing potential environmental damage and risks to public safety. The residents demanded that the authorities reconsider these provisions and prioritize sustainable development practices in the Master Plan 2047.
