Bhopal police have arrested Hafiz Rahil Khan, operator of Kohinoor Haj and Umrah Services, for allegedly duping pilgrims of lakhs of rupees in the name of arranging Umrah trips.
Bhopal police arrested Hafiz Rahil Khan after receiving multiple complaints from pilgrims who alleged they were cheated of large sums of money under the pretext of arranging Umrah pilgrimages.
According to the complaints, Khan promised to facilitate travel to Saudi Arabia for Umrah and collected advance payments, but failed to provide the promised services or refund the money.
In addition, a doctor has alleged that Khan cheated him by promising to make him a business partner in the travel venture, taking money under that pretext as well. Police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
