Bhopal ISBT Seizes 9.1kg Methamphetamine Hidden in Salwar Suit Bag

During a routine inspection at Bhopal Inter‑State Bus Terminus (ISBT) on Tuesday, Delhi‑to‑Bangalore buses were searched by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI). The officers found 9.139 kilograms of methamphetamine concealed in two trolley bags carried by a young man. The drugs were hidden inside a salwar‑suit packing, a tactic used to evade detection. The seized drugs are estimated to be worth ₹7.32 crore, according to the DRI. This operation marks the second large‑scale seizure by the agency in the city within the past six days. The DRI said it will continue to intensify its efforts to curb drug trafficking across the state.
