Bhopal Donor's Organs Save Four Lives Across India

A 53‑year‑old brain‑dead patient in Bhopal donated a heart, liver and two kidneys, which were later transplanted to patients in different parts of the country. The heart was sent to a recipient in Chennai, the liver to a patient in Indore, and both kidneys were transplanted into two patients in Bhopal. To guarantee the organs arrived in time, a dedicated green corridor was established between Bhopal and Chennai, and between Bhopal and Indore, using a combination of air and ground transport. The successful transplants underscore the critical role of organ donation and the importance of coordinated logistics across states.
