Bhakra-Pong Dams Face Water Crisis, Threaten Wheat Irrigation in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan

The Bhakra and Pong dams, crucial sources of irrigation for Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan, are facing a water crisis. Water levels in these dams have dropped significantly compared to last year, raising concerns about the upcoming wheat irrigation season. This shortage could potentially impact wheat production in the region, which is a major contributor to India's agricultural output. Farmers in these states are already feeling the pressure of the dwindling water resources and are anxiously awaiting government intervention to address the situation.
