Bhagat Singh Sena chief Naresh Meena approached AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, requesting political backing and the party’s broom symbol for fielding candidates in Rajasthan’s ongoing panchayat elections.
Naresh Meena, who leads the Bhagat Singh Sena, met with Arvind Kejriwal to seek the AAP’s support for the upcoming panchayat polls in Rajasthan. He specifically asked for the party’s election symbol, the broom, to be used by his group’s candidates.
The request comes amid the ongoing panchayati raj elections across various districts of the state, where multiple independents and regional outfits are contesting for local body seats.
Securing the broom symbol would allow Meena’s allies to contest under a recognised emblem, potentially boosting their visibility and credibility among voters.
While the AAP has not yet responded publicly, the outreach highlights efforts by regional groups to align with national parties for electoral advantage in rural polls.
