The Metro Safety Commissioner (CMRS) completed the final joint inspection of the extended green corridor from Nagasandra to Madiwala, with the line expected to open for public use next week.

The Metro Safety Commissioner (CMRS) today conducted the final stage joint inspection of the extended green corridor from Nagasandra to Madiwala in Bengaluru, signalling that the line may open for public transport next week.

The inspection was part of a comprehensive safety review of the corridor, which is a key segment of Bengaluru’s expanding metro network. The CMRS team carried out a detailed assessment of safety systems, signalling, and operational protocols.

With the inspection concluded, authorities anticipate that the corridor will be cleared for public use in the coming week, providing commuters with a new route between the western and central parts of the city.

The opening of the Nagasandra–Madiwala stretch is expected to improve connectivity and reduce travel time for daily commuters, further strengthening Bengaluru’s public transport infrastructure.
