The program was inaugurated by Shaini Pradeep Guntiyaru, the state coordinator of Akka Payi. He spoke about the philosophical revolution of 12‑century Basavadi Sharan and the vision for the welfare of all living beings, explaining how Akka Payi’s service, operating under the name of Akka Mahadevi Tayyar, empowers women with freedom, moral stability and confidence.
Guru Basava Pattadhevar of Hirematha Institution Balakiy emphasized the need to implement Sharan’s principles in everyday life. Dr. G.V. Manjunatha of Chitradurga highlighted the significance of the Basavadi Sharan soul‑experience movement, the history of the inter‑ethnic marriage between Haralayya and Kalyanamma’s family, and the Kalyan revolution.
Shanta Jayaraj Khande presided over the Maranave Mahanavami service committee meeting, which was attended by prominent dignitaries, vocalist Shakuntala Malakpore, religious leaders and Sharan‑Sharani participants, ensuring the successful conduct of the ceremony.
