Bedridden Mother Murdered, Body Found in Drum; Husband and Wife Arrested

Police investigators recovered the lifeless body of a bedridden woman from a metal drum, prompting a swift arrest of a married couple suspected of multiple killings. The discovery was made after local residents reported a suspicious container in a residential area, leading officers to the concealed remains. The victim, who had been confined to her bed due to illness, was identified through family verification and medical records. The couple, identified as the victim's husband and his wife, were taken into custody at the scene. Authorities allege that the pair had previously been involved in other unexplained deaths, prompting a broader probe into potential serial offences. The police have launched a detailed forensic examination of the drum and surrounding area, while the suspects remain in judicial custody pending formal charges. The investigation continues to determine the motive and the full extent of the alleged crime spree.
