Around 800‑1,000 owners of Bangalore Development Authority apartments are pressing the authority to install full electric‑vehicle charging infrastructure.

The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has yet to fully equip the residential complexes it built with electric‑vehicle (EV) charging stations.

More than 800 to 1,000 owners of BDA flats across the city have collectively urged the authority to provide the missing infrastructure.

The owners argue that the lack of charging points hampers the adoption of EVs among residents and contradicts the city’s push for greener transport.

They have submitted formal requests to BDA, seeking a timetable for installation and assurance that future projects will include comprehensive EV facilities.
