The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has begun distributing high‑tech green dustbins ward‑wise to improve waste collection and assist municipal workers.
The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) started distributing high‑tech green dustbins across Bengaluru wards today, aiming to streamline the city’s waste‑collection process.
The new dustbins, designed with modern features and a green colour scheme, are intended to make the work of municipal labourers easier and more efficient.
This rollout forms part of BBMP’s broader effort to modernise solid‑waste management and enhance cleanliness throughout the city.
The distribution will continue ward by ward, with the expectation that the upgraded bins will encourage better segregation and reduce litter on streets.
