The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike has introduced a new mobile application that lets residents upload photos of potholes and broken streetlights to lodge complaints directly.

The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has rolled out a new mobile application called the Citizen App aimed at improving road safety across Bangalore. The app enables members of the public to capture and upload photographs of potholes, damaged road surfaces and malfunctioning streetlights, thereby facilitating immediate reporting to municipal authorities.

Through the Citizen App, users can submit their complaints with visual evidence, which is routed to the relevant BBMP departments for prompt action. The platform is designed to streamline the grievance redressal process and ensure that road maintenance issues are addressed more efficiently.

The launch reflects BBMP's ongoing efforts to leverage technology for better civic management and to encourage community participation in maintaining the city's infrastructure. Residents are urged to download the app and use it to report any road-related hazards they encounter.
