The Garba celebration planned at Radiant College in Indore was called off after the Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad protested the lack of official permission and the participation of Muslim youths, leading to a recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa.
Earlier this week, a Garba program slated for Radiant College in Indore was abruptly cancelled. The event, intended to celebrate the Navratri festival, had attracted a sizable student crowd.
The Bajrang Dal, supported by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, lodged a formal objection, alleging that the college had not obtained the requisite permissions from authorities and that Muslim youths were slated to take part in the dance.
Following the protest, college officials halted the programme and, in its place, organized a collective recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa, a devotional hymn revered by the protesting groups.
No further statements have been released by the college administration, and the incident underscores ongoing sensitivities around religious and cultural events in educational institutions.
