A gangster who had recently been released on bail was killed by another alleged gang member, reportedly over a shared romantic interest.
Police officials said that a known gangster, who had been granted bail in a pending case, was shot dead by another suspected gang member. The encounter took place in a residential area, and investigators believe the motive stems from a personal dispute over a woman they both were involved with.
The victim had been out on bail for a separate criminal case, and his release had drawn attention from rival elements within the underworld. Sources close to the investigation indicated that the assailant approached the victim under the pretext of a meeting and opened fire, leading to fatal injuries.
Law enforcement agencies have launched a probe to identify the shooter and ascertain the exact circumstances. The case adds to a series of recent gang‑related incidents that have raised concerns about intra‑gang rivalries escalating into public violence.
Authorities have urged witnesses to come forward and have promised strict action against those involved in the homicide. The investigation remains ongoing, with no arrests announced as of now.
