Assam STF confiscates 40,000 Yaba tablets worth Rs 10 crore in Amingaon, arrests suspect

During a recent operation in the Amingaon area of Assam, the state’s Special Task Force (STF) uncovered a large cache of illegal stimulant tablets. The raid resulted in the seizure of 40,000 Yaba tablets, a drug commonly used as a recreational stimulant in the region. Officials have estimated the street value of the confiscated tablets at roughly Rs 10 crore. The operation also led to the arrest of one individual suspected of being involved in the trafficking network. The STF has said that further investigations are underway to identify additional links in the supply chain.
