The Assam government has announced plans to boost the state's dairy sector, aiming for a daily milk output of 10 lakh litres.
Assam has unveiled a comprehensive strategy to strengthen its dairy industry and increase milk production to 10 lakh litres per day.
The plan includes modernizing milking facilities, improving animal health and nutrition, and expanding farmer training programmes.
Officials say the initiative will create jobs and enhance the livelihoods of rural communities.
The target is part of a broader effort to make Assam a leading dairy producer in India.
Implementation will begin next fiscal year with support from central and state schemes.
