Assam Rifles DG Reviews Operational Readiness in Manipur

The Director General of the Assam Rifles visited the Manipur region to assess the unit’s operational preparedness, a move aimed at ensuring the force remains ready for any contingency. During the visit, senior officers briefed the DG on current deployment patterns, logistics support and coordination mechanisms with the state administration and local security agencies. The assessment covered troop morale, equipment status and the effectiveness of recent training exercises conducted in the hilly terrain of Manipur. The DG’s review is part of a regular oversight process intended to fine‑tune the force’s response capabilities in the Northeast, where security dynamics remain fluid. No incidents or disruptions were reported during the evaluation, and officials said the findings will inform future operational planning.
