The Assam government has announced that residents living within a 7‑kilometre radius of the Raha Toll Gate will no longer be required to pay toll charges.

Assam's transport department has announced a new toll exemption scheme for residents living within a 7‑kilometre radius of the Raha Toll Gate. Under the directive, local commuters will no longer be required to pay toll charges when using the gate. The move is aimed at reducing travel costs for residents and supporting the local economy in the Raha region. The toll gate will continue to operate for vehicles from outside the exemption zone.
