Assam CM Unveils ETRS to Speed Up Forest Department Transfers

Assam's Chief Minister inaugurated the Electronic Transfer and Recruitment System (ETRS), a digital platform designed to streamline internal transfers within the state's forest department. The system will allow officers to submit transfer requests online, automatically match them with vacant positions, and cut down processing delays, officials said. The CM emphasized that the initiative will boost efficiency, transparency and morale among forest personnel while supporting the government's broader digitalisation agenda.
