Assam CM Inaugurates ₹778-Crore PepsiCo Food Plant in Nalbari

On Thursday, Assam’s Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma cut the ribbon at the newly constructed PepsiCo food plant in Nalbari, marking a significant investment in the state’s food processing sector. The ₹778‑crore facility, which is expected to produce a range of packaged food products, is part of PepsiCo’s strategy to expand its footprint in the Northeast. The plant’s capacity will enable the company to meet growing demand for ready‑to‑eat and snack items in the region.
