Ahead of the upcoming panchayat elections, Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gahlot criticised the BJP government for not supplying irrigation water to farmers, delaying gaushala grants and failing to strengthen health schemes in Bikaner.

Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gahlot raised a fresh set of demands on the eve of the state’s panchayat elections, focusing on the Bikaner district. He said that farmers in the region are still without adequate irrigation water and have not received compensation for recent crop losses.

The leader also highlighted that pending grants for gaushalas – shelters for cattle – remain unpaid, adding that the delay hampers the welfare of livestock owners. Gahlot called for the immediate release of these funds to meet the needs of the rural community.

In addition to agricultural concerns, Gahlot urged the state government to reinforce existing health schemes, arguing that stronger healthcare support is essential for the electorate ahead of the polls. His statements reflect growing pressure on the BJP to address basic services before the local elections take place.
