The Arunachal Pradesh government unveiled its Vision 2036 plan, targeting the training of 100,000 young people and facilitating 10,000 overseas employment opportunities.
The Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh announced the state’s Vision 2036, a long‑term development blueprint focused on human capital. The plan sets an ambitious target of equipping one lakh (100,000) youths with market‑relevant skills through vocational training, digital literacy and industry‑linked courses.
A key component of the initiative is to generate 10,000 overseas job placements for the state’s skilled workforce. The government intends to partner with foreign recruitment agencies and leverage existing diaspora networks to channel opportunities in sectors such as construction, healthcare and information technology.
State officials said the scheme will be funded through a mix of central assistance, private sector participation and the Arunachal Pradesh Skill Development Fund. Monitoring mechanisms will track skill certification, placement rates and the impact on local employment.
If successful, Vision 2036 could transform the state’s employment landscape, reducing out‑migration pressures while contributing to the broader national goal of a skilled youth demographic.
The rollout is slated to begin in the upcoming fiscal year, with pilot training centers to be set up in major districts across the state.
