The Arunachal Pradesh cricket side faces the possibility of missing its Ranji Trophy opening match due to an internal association conflict.
Arunachal Pradesh's representative cricket team is on the brink of forfeiting its scheduled Ranji Trophy opening fixture. The threat stems from a dispute within the state's cricket association, which has created administrative deadlock.
Officials from the state association have been unable to resolve the internal tussle, raising concerns that the team may be unable to field a side for the first match of the domestic championship. Such a forfeiture would not only affect the team's participation but also disrupt the tournament schedule.
Stakeholders, including the Board of Control for Cricket in India, are reportedly monitoring the situation closely, urging a swift settlement to ensure the team can compete as planned. The outcome of the dispute will determine whether Arunachal Pradesh can take the field when the Ranji Trophy commences.
