The Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh formally handed appointment orders to 21 assistant professors who were recently selected through a recruitment drive.
Arunachal Pradesh's Chief Minister conducted a ceremony in which appointment orders were handed over to twenty‑one individuals selected as assistant professors in state‑run higher‑education institutions. The recruits had cleared a competitive selection process announced earlier this year, aimed at strengthening faculty resources across the state.
The CM emphasized that bolstering the teaching workforce is essential for improving academic standards and expanding access to quality higher education in the remote regions of Arunachal. He noted that the new appointments reflect the government's commitment to fulfilling vacancies identified in recent institutional audits.
The appointment letters, signed by the state education department, confer a three‑year contract to each professor, with the possibility of extension based on performance reviews. The ceremony concluded with a brief address urging the newly appointed faculty to focus on research, student mentorship, and community outreach.
