The Arunachal Pradesh police announced the recovery of 20 stolen two-wheelers in a coordinated sweep that spanned both Assam and Arunachal, and have taken one suspect into custody.
Arunachal Pradesh police disclosed that a joint operation with neighbouring Assam resulted in the retrieval of twenty two‑wheelers reported stolen over the past weeks. The vehicles were located at multiple sites across both states and handed over to their rightful owners.
During the sweep, authorities apprehended a single individual believed to be linked to the thefts. The suspect is currently being interrogated, and the police said further inquiries are underway to uncover any larger network involved.
Officials highlighted that the successful recovery underscores the effectiveness of inter‑state cooperation in tackling motor‑vehicle theft, urging the public to report suspicious activity promptly.
