Chief Minister Pema Khandu of Arunachal Pradesh stated that the Indian Army is actively safeguarding the state's borders and rejected any claims of Chinese encroachment.

At a press briefing in Arunachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Pema Khandu affirmed that the Indian Army is on the front line protecting the state's borders. He rejected reports of Chinese forces attempting to encroach on disputed territory along the McMahon Line.

Khandu highlighted the strategic importance of the region, noting that the army’s presence has deterred any potential incursions. He urged local communities to remain vigilant and cooperate with security forces.

The statement comes amid heightened tensions between India and China over border skirmishes in the northeastern sector. The government has reiterated its commitment to maintaining sovereignty over Arunachal Pradesh.

Khandu concluded by assuring residents that the central and state governments are working closely to ensure the security and stability of the frontier areas.
