Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has announced a public consultation process to gather inputs for the state’s long‑term development plan, the Viksit Arunachal 2047 roadmap.
The Government of Arunachal Pradesh has launched a public consultation to collect views on the Viksit Arunachal 2047 roadmap, a comprehensive development plan aimed at transforming the state by the year 2047.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu announced the initiative in a press briefing on Tuesday, urging citizens, local bodies and experts to submit their suggestions through an online portal and a series of town‑hall meetings scheduled across the state.
The roadmap, which was drafted by a committee of technocrats and community leaders, seeks to address key areas such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, tourism and digital connectivity, while preserving the region’s ecological and cultural heritage.
The state government has set a deadline of 30 November for submissions, after which the inputs will be reviewed and incorporated into the final draft, which is expected to be presented to the legislative assembly in early 2025.
