Around 45 Nashik Tourists Confirmed Safe After Nepal Floods, Says Maharashtra Minister

Maharashtra minister announced that about 45 tourists from Nashik are safe after communication with them was re‑established following the floods in Nepal.
A severe flash flood in Nepal disrupted travel and stranded several groups of foreign visitors. Among them were roughly 45 tourists from Nashik, Maharashtra, whose whereabouts were unclear for several days.
The Maharashtra state minister, speaking to the press, confirmed that contact with the Nashik contingent has now been restored and all members are accounted for and safe. He added that local authorities in Nepal are coordinating with Indian officials to ensure their continued well‑being.
Rescue teams in the affected districts have been conducting search‑and‑rescue operations, providing food, shelter and medical aid to displaced persons. No injuries or fatalities have been reported among the Nashik tourists so far.
The minister urged families of other Indian nationals in Nepal to stay in touch with their embassies and follow official advisories as the situation stabilises.
