A young man entered Jalandhar's Civil Hospital brandishing a weapon and was quickly restrained by security personnel.
Jalandhar, Punjab – A young individual entered the premises of the Civil Hospital in Jalandhar carrying a weapon, prompting an immediate response from hospital security and local police. The intruder was spotted at the main entrance and attempts to move further inside were halted by the on‑site security team.
According to eyewitnesses, the security personnel confronted the suspect and, with assistance from police officers who arrived within minutes, were able to subdue him without any reported injuries to patients or staff. The weapon was seized and the individual was taken into police custody for further questioning.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the motive behind the incident and to verify whether the weapon was legal. Hospital officials confirmed that normal operations resumed shortly after the situation was brought under control, and no disruption to medical services was reported.
