The new Malayalam film 'Crazy Kalyanam' starring Anupama Parameswaran collected Rs 23 lakh gross across India on its first day of release, according to trade reports.
The Malayalam‑language comedy 'Crazy Kalyanam', headlined by actress Anupama Parameswaran, opened in theatres across India on Friday. Box‑office data compiled by trade sources show that the film earned a gross of Rs 23 lakh on its debut day.
While the figure reflects a modest start for a regional release, it indicates a baseline audience interest in the star‑driven project. The collection includes earnings from both metropolitan multiplexes and smaller single‑screen venues that screened the film.
Industry observers note that the opening performance will shape the film's distribution strategy in the coming weeks, with the possibility of expanding screen counts if word‑of‑mouth remains positive. The producers have not yet disclosed the film's budget, making it difficult to gauge profitability at this early stage.
