The Andhra Pradesh government has announced a hike in the Dearness Allowance (DA) to 41.86%, affecting all state employees.

The state government of Andhra Pradesh has raised the Dearness Allowance (DA) for all its employees to 41.86%. The decision was announced in a recent press release by the Ministry of Finance of the state.

The new DA rate will apply to salaries of government workers across various departments, including teachers, police officers, and administrative staff. While the exact amount each employee will receive depends on their basic pay, the percentage increase is expected to provide a noticeable boost to their monthly earnings.

Dearness Allowance is a cost‑of‑living adjustment that helps employees cope with inflation. The hike follows a review of the cost‑of‑living index and aligns the state’s allowance with the prevailing economic conditions.

Implementation of the new DA rate will begin from the next salary cycle, with the state’s payroll system updated accordingly. Employees are advised to check their pay slips for the updated figures once the new cycle commences.
