Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced a collaboration with premier institutes such as IIT Hyderabad and IIM Visakhapatnam to upskill state government staff.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu informed senior officials that the Andhra Pradesh government will enter into formal agreements with leading academic institutions, including IIT Hyderabad and IIM Visakhapatnam, to provide specialised training for its civil servants.
The partnership is expected to cover a range of modules, from advanced data analytics and digital governance to public policy design and leadership development. Faculty from the institutes will deliver short‑term courses, workshops and on‑the‑job mentoring, aiming to enhance efficiency and service delivery across departments.
Implementation is slated to begin in the next quarter, with a pilot phase targeting 1,000 officers from key ministries. The government expects the initiative to create a skilled workforce capable of meeting the state’s development goals and to serve as a model for other Indian administrations.
