Amritsar rural police dismantled two illicit supply chains, seizing 10 kilograms of heroin and ten pistols, and arresting four smugglers linked to overseas networks.
In a recent operation, Amritsar rural police seized 10 kilograms of heroin and ten pistols, and arrested four smugglers who were connected to overseas networks.
The raid was carried out by a coordinated team of local police officers and intelligence units, who had been monitoring the two supply chains for several weeks.
The seizure is expected to disrupt the distribution of narcotics and illegal firearms in the region, weakening the networks that have been supplying these items to local markets.
Police officials said the operation demonstrates the effectiveness of inter‑agency cooperation in tackling transnational smuggling activities.
