Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a gathering of families and individuals who have endured violence linked to the Naxalite movement, stating that the insurgency has been effectively neutralised across the country.
He highlighted recent security operations that have dismantled the organisational structure of Naxal groups, emphasizing that the threat to public safety has markedly declined.
Despite declaring the end of Naxalism, Shah acknowledged that the trauma and economic hardships endured by victims remain unresolved. He called on central and state authorities to accelerate rehabilitation schemes, provide medical aid, and ensure livelihood support for those still suffering.
The minister urged civil society and NGOs to collaborate with government agencies to restore normalcy in affected regions and to prevent any resurgence of extremist activity.
