The highest Sikh religious authority, the Akal Takht, issued a formal declaration on June 15 naming Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann a “Guru Dhokhi” and “Khalsa Panth Virodhi.” The statement, released from the Golden Temple complex, accused the CM of betraying Sikh principles and opposing the Khalsa movement.
In the same resolution, the Takht summoned two members of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) for clarification on their recent actions, ordering them not to attend any official meetings until further notice.
