Ajmer police, under Operation Mule Hunter, arrested three suspects from Jodhpur for a cyber fraud that siphoned Rs 6.74 lakh through a UCO Bank account on Station Road.
The Ajmer police launched a focused crackdown titled “Operation Mule Hunter” against a cyber‑fraud ring that had been exploiting a UCO Bank account on Station Road. Investigators linked four separate complaints to the same account, which together resulted in a loss of Rs 6.74 lakh.
During the operation, officers apprehended three individuals identified as members of the fraud network. All three were traced back to Jodhpur and taken into custody in Ajmer.
Police officials said the suspects used the bank account to receive illicit funds from multiple online scams, deceiving victims across different regions. The arrests are part of a broader effort to dismantle organized cyber‑crime cells operating in Rajasthan.
The department has issued an alert urging the public to remain vigilant and verify the authenticity of online transactions, especially those involving bank transfers. Further investigations are underway to uncover additional accomplices and recover the stolen amount.
