Ajay Sadhotra Calls on BJP to Address Jammu‑Kashmir Job Crisis

Ajay Sadhotra, a prominent voice in Jammu and Kashmir's civil society, publicly demanded that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party answer for the deepening jobs crisis in the region. In a statement reported by Kashmir Life, he warned that the lack of adequate employment opportunities is undermining the aspirations of the youth and could fuel social unrest.
The unemployment situation in Jammu and Kashmir has been highlighted in recent surveys, which show a growing gap between the number of job seekers and available positions, especially for fresh graduates. Local businesses and government agencies have struggled to create sufficient new roles, prompting criticism of the centre's development policies.
Sadhotra called for immediate policy interventions, including skill‑development programmes, incentives for private investment, and a transparent allocation of central funds to generate sustainable employment. The BJP has not yet issued an official response to his remarks.
